TikTok slideshows are everywhere: outfit ideas, recipe cards, travel dumps, quotes, step-by-step guides and photo diaries you swipe through one picture at a time. The trouble starts when you want to keep them. TikTok’s Save button doesn’t give you the photos, screenshots crop the edges and pick up the app’s buttons, and swiping and screenshotting fifteen pictures one by one is nobody’s idea of fun.
This TikTok slideshow downloader takes the post’s link and gives you the real photos: each one as a full-size JPG, all of them together as a ZIP, and the background music as an MP3. No app, no account, no watermark.
What a TikTok slideshow actually is
TikTok has two kinds of “slideshow”, and they behave very differently:
- Photo posts (Photo Mode). The creator uploads a set of still photos. You swipe left and right through them while a sound plays. These posts have links with
/photo/in them, liketiktok.com/@user/photo/7301234567890123456. This page is built for them. - Video slideshows. The creator turns photos into a video, often with a template or an editing app, so the pictures change by themselves. These are ordinary videos, and the result shows the usual Download HD button. Our TikTok downloader handles them like any other clip.
A photo post is really a small bundle: a list of images, a cover image, a caption and one music track. When you paste the link, our server reads that bundle from TikTok’s public page, exactly as a browser does, and turns each part into a download.
What you get
The buttons depend on how many photos the post has:
| Button | What it saves | Format | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Download all photos (ZIP) | Every photo in the post, numbered in order | ZIP of JPG files | Saving a whole slideshow in one tap |
| Download (under each photo) | Just that one photo | JPG | Picking the one or two pictures you need |
| Download photo | The photo, when the post has only one | JPG | Single-photo posts |
| Download MP3 | The sound playing behind the photos | MP3, 192 kbps | Keeping the song or voice-over |
The photos show up as a grid under the buttons, so you can see exactly what you’re saving before you tap.
Why downloaded photos look better than screenshots
A screenshot is a picture of your screen, not of the photo. It’s limited by your phone’s screen size, it often catches the like and comment icons, the caption or the progress bar, and on tall photos it crops the top and bottom.
The downloader saves the image file TikTok itself stores for the post. In practice that means:
- The full frame. Nothing is cut off by the app layout.
- The uploaded resolution. Photos are often well over 1,000 pixels wide; in our tests a typical slideshow photo came out at 1320 × 1586.
- No interface on top. No buttons, no caption text, no @username, no TikTok logo.
- The original order. Files in the ZIP are named photo-1, photo-2 and so on, matching the order in the post.
JPG is used because it opens everywhere: phones, Windows Photos, Mac Preview, Instagram, Canva, Word and every printer driver.
Saving slideshow photos on your phone or computer
iPhone and iPad
Use Safari. Tap Download all photos (ZIP) and confirm with Download. The ZIP goes to Files › Downloads. Tap it once and iOS unpacks it into a folder with all the photos. To put them in your camera roll, open the folder, tap Select, choose the photos, tap Share and pick Save Images. Single photos go the same way: open the JPG in Files, tap Share, then Save Image.
Android
Tap the ZIP button and the file lands in your Download folder. Open Files by Google (or Samsung’s My Files), tap the ZIP and choose Extract. The photos then appear in your gallery app. Single JPGs show up in the gallery straight away.
Windows and Mac
On Windows, right-click the ZIP in Downloads and choose Extract All. On a Mac, double-click the ZIP and Finder unpacks it next to the original. Both systems open the JPGs in their built-in photo viewers.
Slideshow links that work
You can paste a slideshow link in any of these forms:
| Link type | Example | Works? |
|---|---|---|
| Photo link from the browser | tiktok.com/@user/photo/7301… |
Yes |
| Short share link | vm.tiktok.com/ZMabc123/ |
Yes |
| Short link (some regions) | vt.tiktok.com/ZSabc123/ |
Yes |
| tt.site short link | tt.site/… |
Yes |
| Whole share message | “Look at this! https://vm.tiktok.com/…” | Yes, the link is found automatically |
To copy the link in the app, open the slideshow, tap Share and then Copy link. It doesn’t matter which photo you’re looking at when you copy it; the link always points to the whole post.
When a slideshow won’t download
Only the MP3 appears, with no photos. The post may have been deleted, set to private, or limited to friends. Open the link in a private browser window. If the photos don’t load there, they can’t be downloaded.
The links stopped working. TikTok’s image links expire, so our buttons last about 10 minutes. If you come back later, paste the slideshow link again.
The ZIP won’t open on an older phone. Some older Android phones need a file manager app to open ZIP files. Files by Google is free, or download the photos one by one with the button under each one.
It shows a video instead of photos. Then it’s a video slideshow, not a photo post. Use Download HD to save it as an MP4.
Some photos look small. The downloader saves what the creator uploaded. If they posted screenshots or images saved from another app, those are already small, and nothing can add detail that was never there.
Popular ways people use saved slideshows
- Recipe and how-to cards. Keep the steps in your camera roll so they work offline, or print them for the kitchen or the workshop.
- Outfit and interior ideas. Drop the photos into a Pinterest board, a notes folder or a mood board app while you plan what to buy.
- Travel planning. Save “10 places to visit in…” slideshows before a trip and open them when you have no signal abroad.
- Study notes and quotes. Language flashcards, revision summaries and quote cards are much quicker to review as photos than by scrolling the app.
- Your own posts. Back up your photo posts before you delete them or switch accounts, and reuse the originals as an Instagram carousel.
- Memories. Photo dumps from friends and family disappear if an account is deleted. A copy on your phone keeps them safe.
A tip for long slideshows: the ZIP keeps the photos in their original order, so in a twenty-step guide, step 7 is always photo-7. If you only need a few pictures, use the Download button under each photo instead of the ZIP to save space on your phone.
Using slideshow photos fairly
Slideshow photos are often someone’s own photography, artwork, recipes or designs. Saving them for inspiration, a mood board or your own reference is what most people do. Re-posting them as your own, printing them for sale or using them in adverts needs the creator’s permission. If you share a photo, credit the creator with their @username and link to the original post. In most countries, short use for criticism, review or parody can count as fair use or quotation, but credit still matters.
Paste a slideshow link in the box at the top of the page to get every photo in full size.
